Jon Stewart Backs South Park

For those who don’t watch South Park, they did an episode last week where they referenced, among other religious figures, Mohammad.  The episode, as usual, was great.  I am not able to provide a link to the episode at this time because Comedy Central has, for now, banned the episode.  A whack job fundamentalist Muslim group is quoted as saying, “We have to warn Matt and Trey that what they are doing is stupid, and they will probably wind up like Theo van Gogh for airing this show. This is not a threat, but a warning of the reality of what will likely happen to them.”

If you aren’t aware, Theo van Gogh was, among other things, a columnist who created a ten minute film which depicted violence against women in Islamic societies.  Because of this short film, Theo van Gogh was assassinated.  Once again, religious fundamentalist take things too far and commit deplorable violent acts against others.

Jon Stewart had a great segment on a recent show where he stood up for Matt Stone and Trey Parker.  In addition to the segment being very funny, it also made a great statement about speech and the ridiculousness of religious fundamentalism.  The clip is provided below.  Enjoy…

Jon Stewart Exposes Lies Told By The Right

I hope that everyone is having a great weekend.  To close out the week, I wanted to share with you a great clip from Friday’s Daily Show.  Jon Stewart did a great job exposing Newt Gingrich, Sean Hannity, Michele Bachmann, and Sarah Palin for the liars and manipulators that they are.

One of the big stories in the news this week was Barack Obama’s new policy concerning the use of nuclear weapons.  As Mr. Stewart explains in the clip, President Obama said that the U.S would refrain from using nuclear weapons against countries that have signed the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty, even if the country used biological or chemical weapons against the U.S.  Keep in mind that this does not apply to North Korea or Iran because they have not signed the treaty.  President Obama also said that if the U.S was attacked with biological or chemical weapons from a country that has signed the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty, then the U.S would use every other weapon available to us, with the exception of nuclear weapons, to retaliate.

As usual, the dummies on Fox News totally lie and completely mislead their audience in regards to President Obama’s intentions.  Mr. Stewart, as usual, does a magnificent job at exposing these liars, and making them look ridiculous at the same time.  Enjoy…

Jon Stewart’s Perfect Parody of Glenn Beck

On Thursday of last week, Jon Stewart absolutely eviscerated Glenn Beck.  Mr. Stewart spent virtually his entire show parodying Mr. Beck, and it was spot on perfect.  For anyone who has had the displeasure of watching an episode of Mr Beck's show, you will find this hilarious.
